Introduction

Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Hall of Residence 4 (click here for official website) – Touch of the Hearts (TOTS) is a charity organization established since 1992 with the aim of helping the less fortunate and doing a part for our community. Since establishment, we have been actively involved in organizing fund raising projects and community services and trying to promote social responsibilities within the NTU population as well as the general public.

For this academic year 08/09, we have adopted Mainly I Love Kids (MILK) as our sole beneficiary. Prior to that, we adopted the Children Cancer Foundation (CCF) in academic year 07/08 and managed to raise a donation up to $18,000. This year, we will be holding a two-day fund raising event held in a local shopping mall, incorporating an exhibit on our beneficiary and a presentation of TOTS community efforts.

Our Project

Every year, TOTS would hold a two-day fund raising event held in a local shopping mall, incorporating an exhibition of our beneficiary and a presentation of TOTS community efforts.

During the event, we welcome the public to make donations in the form of a 2-dollar ticket which entitles them to discounts in various retail shops. It will be a fun-filled event with activities and performances.  The public can look forward not only to performances by celebrities, music schools and university cultural groups, but also games and trade stalls.

Last but not least, we will have a display corner featuring our beneficiary and some of the community efforts put up by TOTS, with the aim of creating greater public awareness for our beneficiary and the charity committee.
